Artist Chen Winkler, Lieutenant Colonel (Reserves), Zionist, and
ninth-generation Israeli, brings to this exhibition not only his
artistic vision but also his unique professional heritage.
This exhibition serves as a pre-flight showcase for the touring
exhibition that will travel throughout the United States.
The exhibition reveals a profound dialogue between the raw
materials of the Holy City and the Land of Israel and Chen’s
artistic expression.
In the works displayed, Winkler quarries sculptures and reliefs
from Jerusalem stone, combining traditional sculpting
techniques with advanced working methods and technologies.
The Jerusalem stone, renowned for its distinctive golden hue
and relatively soft texture, enables the artist to carve delicate
details while preserving its inherent strength.
Alongside his sculptural works, Winkler also presents a jewelry
collection of his personal and unique design.

The jewelry pieces, designed and sculpted by his own hands,
combine stones from the Land of Israel with precious
gemstones set in silver and gold.
This fusion expands the artistic discourse from public sculpture
to the intimate and personal, transforming the national and
Zionist theme into a private and tangible experience that can
be worn on the body.
Each work in the exhibition carries within it Zionist and Israeli
elements translated into contemporary artistic language.
His profound knowledge of materials and working techniques
was acquired through years of work and creation in the family
workshop, maintained by his family for over three generations
and more than 90 years. This heritage endows Winkler’s works
with technical depth and material sensitivity that few can
achieve, making each creation an encounter between ancient
family tradition and contemporary artistic vision.
The exhibition to be displayed throughout America will create a
significant cultural encounter. Jerusalem stones, which for
thousands of years have been the focus of pilgrimage, now
embark on a reverse journey – from Jerusalem to the world,
carrying with them the Israeli Zionist story.
