עידו FOG בין ריקנות לבריאה, בין שחור לאור

עידו FOG הוא שמו האנונימי של אמן צעיר יחסית בזירת האמנות, אך כזה שנוכחותו מורגשת היטב על הדף. את דרכו בעולם הציור החל בשנת 2021, לא מתוך שאיפה לקריירה אמנותית גרידא, אלא מתוך צורך עמוק. צורך לבטא את עצמו, למלא חלל פנימי ותחושת ריקנות באמצעות יצירה שמדברת ישירות אל הרוח והנשמה.
הציור עבור עידו הוא מרחב התבוננות. הוא נוהג לומר שהוא מסתכל על העולם דרך הציור שלו, אך לא פחות מכך, בורא לעצמו עולם חדש בתהליך עצמו. בזמן העבודה הוא מתנתק, שוקע בסיפורים פנימיים, במרחב פרטי שנוצר בין היד, העיפרון והדף. .
בניגוד לאמנים רבים שמזמינים את הצופה לפרש כרצונו, עידו בוחר אחרת. הוא אינו משאיר את היצירה פתוחה לפרשנות חופשית. עבורו, הפרשנות היא חלק בלתי נפרד מהעבודה. רוב ציוריו מלווים בטקסטים, הסברים ישירים שמבהירים מה עומד מאחורי הדימויים, מה הם מבקשים לומר, ואיזו חוויה פנימית הולידה אותם. יש כאן עמדה ברורה, אמירה שאינה מתנצלת ואינה מתחבאת.
מקור ההשראה של עידו נטוע בהתבוננות שלו על העולם החיצוני, אך בעיקר בעולמו הפנימי. על כל קשת רגשותיה. המקומות המוארים לצד האזורים האפלים. הטוב והרע מתקיימים זה לצד זה, וניתן לראות זאת בבירור על הדף. הבחירה לעבוד כמעט באופן בלעדי בשחור ולבן אינה מקרית. זהו המדיום המרכזי שלו, עיפרון על נייר, ערוץ ישיר ובלתי מתווך בין התחושה לבין הביטוי.
למרות שהתנסה גם בצבע, מים ואקריליק, עידו חוזר שוב ושוב אל השחור והלבן. אל הפשטות הטכנית שמאפשרת עומק רגשי. אל המגע הישיר עם הדף, שבו אין הסחות דעת, אלא רק קו, לחץ, תנועה ונשימה. בעיניו, דווקא הפחות טכני מאפשר יותר אמת, יותר דיוק בתחושה.
בימים אלו עידו מתכונן לתערוכה חדשה, שפרטיה ייחשפו בקרוב. עבורו, זוהי פסיעה ראשונה אל עולם האמנות התחרותי והחשוף. צעד שמעורר התרגשות, חשש וסקרנות גדולה לקראת מפגש עם קהל ותגובותיו. זהו אתגר שהוא בוחר להתמודד איתו במודע, למרות הקושי והפגיעות הכרוכים בחשיפה.

Ido “FOG – a piece of my soul”

Ido fog is the anonymous name of a young artist whose presence in the art world is already strongly felt. He began his journey in drawing in 2021, not as a calculated career move, but out of a deep inner need. A need to express himself, to fill an inner void through creation that connects directly to spirituality and the soul.
For Ido, drawing is a space of contemplation. He often says that he looks at the world through his drawings, yet just as importantly, he creates a new world during the process itself. While working, he disconnects from the outside and enters his own narratives, immersing himself in a private realm formed between the hand, the pencil, and the paper. In this space, experience comes before aesthetics, and meaning comes before impression.
Unlike many artists who invite open interpretation, Ido makes a different choice. He does not leave his works open to free interpretation. For him, interpretation is an inseparable part of the artwork itself. Most of his drawings are accompanied by texts that clearly explain their meaning, what they seek to express, and the inner experience that gave birth to them. There is a clear, unapologetic stance here, one that does not hide or soften its message.
Ido draws inspiration from his observation of the external world, but primarily from his inner world in all its emotional range. Light and dark coexist, the good alongside the painful and the complex. This duality is clearly visible on the page. His choice to work almost exclusively in black and white is intentional. This is his main medium, pencil on paper, a direct and unfiltered channel between feeling and expression.
Although he has experimented with color, water, and acrylics, Ido repeatedly returns to black and white. To the technical simplicity that allows emotional depth. To the direct contact with the page, free of distractions, where only line, pressure, movement, and breath exist. In his view, fewer technical demands allow for greater honesty and more precise emotional expression.
These days, Ido is preparing for an upcoming exhibition, the details of which will be announced soon. For him, this marks a first step into the competitive and exposed art world. A step filled with excitement, vulnerability, and anticipation of meeting the audience and hearing their responses. It is a challenge he consciously chooses to face, despite the difficulty and the courage required to present and reveal his work.
By choosing to exhibit, Ido Pog is not only sharing his artworks, but opening a gate into his inner world. A world that asks to be seen, spoken, and heard with clarity, honesty, and strength.
