יש אמנים שהדיוק עבורם הוא מטרה. אצל ליאור משה, הדיוק הוא שער. שער שדרכו נכנס הרגש, השקט, וההתבוננות האנושית העמוקה.
ליאור משה, אמן ריאליסטי מרתק, מתגורר בצפון הארץ. את הבחירה להפוך את האמנות לדרך חיים מקצועית קיבל רק בגיל 35, אך האמנות ליוותה אותו כל חייו. שנים של יצירה, חקירה והתבוננות קדמו להחלטה הזו, והפכו אותה לבשלה, מדויקת ומחוברת למהות הפנימית שלו.
את דרכו האמנותית פיתח במסגרות לא פורמליות, לצד לימודים אצל האמן אמיר ניר, מהם רכש חלק ניכר מהידע בציור ריאליסטי. במקביל, המשיך ללמוד באופן אוטודידקטי מתוך מחויבות עמוקה, תרגול יומיומי ורצון מתמיד להשתפר. עבורו, ציור ריאליסטי אינו טכניקה בלבד אלא דרך חיים שדורשת סבלנות, התמדה וקשב מתמשך.
הקסם של הריאליזם הוא שהוביל אותו לעסוק בציור באופן מלא. אך הריאליזם של ליאור אינו מבקש רק לתפוס את המציאות כפי שהיא. הוא מבקש להטעין אותה בתחושה. בעבודותיו נוכחים דיוק קפדני לצד רגישות גבוהה לאור, לתאורה ולמרקם האנושי. הציור אצלו אינו רק הצגה של הנראה לעין, אלא הזמנה להתבוננות שקטה ומעמיקה.
העשייה האמנותית שלו מדויקת ורגשית כאחד. כל ציור הוא תוצאה של תהליך פנימי ארוך, חי ונושם. תהליך של חיבור בין מחשבה לתחושה, בין מבט חיצוני להקשבה פנימית. ליאור רואה קשר ישיר בין עבודתו האמנותית לבין עיסוקו החינוכי. הוא משמש כרכז נוער יישובי, מלמד ציור ורישום, ורואה בשני העולמות מרחב של צמיחה, הקשבה וביטוי עצמי.
את השראתו הוא שואב מאמנים ריאליסטים שפעלו מתוך עומק, רגישות ואנושיות. בזירה הישראלית הוא מציין במיוחד את ערן רשף ודויד ניפו, ובזירה הבינלאומית חש חיבור עמוק לורמיר, וכן לציירי הבארוק כמו קראווגו ורמברנדט. ההשפעות ניכרות בעיקר בבניית הקומפוזיציה, בעבודה עם אור וביכולת לייצר נוכחות שקטה אך עוצמתית.
תהליך היצירה שלו מתחיל לרוב בצילום. ליאור מביים ומצלם את הדימויים בעצמו, מתוך רצון לשלוט בקומפוזיציה ולבנות דימוי פשוט, אותנטי ומדויק. כזה שידבר אליו, אך גם ייגע בצופה. הציור עצמו מתפתח בשכבות מסורתיות קלאסיות, בעבודה ממושכת בצבעי שמן, מתוך משיכה לעומק ולשקיפות שהחומר מאפשר. הוא אינו מחפש אפקטים, אלא עומק, שקט ואותנטיות.
לאחרונה הציג תערוכת יחיד שכללה עבודות שנוצרו לאורך עשור שלם, תערוכה שאפשרה מבט רחב על תהליך ההתפתחות הטכנית והאמנותית שעבר. לצד זאת השתתף גם בתערוכות קבוצתיות נוספות.
המטרה של ליאור בציור ברורה וחדה: להעביר רגש. לא בהכרח סיפור ישיר, אלא תחושה. רגע שקט. התבוננות. הוא מבקש שהצופה ירגיש, לא רק יראה. מתוך אמונה שאמנות טובה נוגעת בדיוק במקום הזה, בשקט הפשוט, אך מלא העומק
Lior Moshe | Between Precision and Emotion
There are artists for whom precision is the goal. For Lior Moshe, precision is a gateway. A gateway through which emotion, stillness, and deep human contemplation enter.
Lior Moshe is a compelling realist painter living in northern Israel. He chose to turn art into a professional path only at the age of 35, though art accompanied him throughout his life. Years of creation, exploration, and observation preceded this decision, allowing it to mature into a choice that is both deliberate and deeply connected to his inner world.
His artistic journey developed through non formal frameworks, alongside studies with the artist Amir Nir, from whom he acquired much of his knowledge in realist painting. At the same time, he continued learning independently, driven by deep commitment, daily practice, and a constant desire to improve. For Moshe, realist painting is not merely a technique but a way of life, one that requires patience, perseverance, and sustained attentiveness.
It was the magic of realism that led him to fully devote himself to painting. Yet Moshe’s realism seeks more than the accurate depiction of reality. He aims to infuse it with feeling. His works combine meticulous precision with a high sensitivity to light, atmosphere, and human presence. The painting does not simply present what is visible to the eye, but invites the viewer into a quiet and profound act of observation.
His artistic practice is both precise and deeply emotional. Each painting is the result of a long, internal, living process. A dialogue between thought and sensation, between external vision and inner listening. Moshe sees a direct connection between his artistic work and his educational practice. He serves as a community youth coordinator and teaches drawing and painting, viewing both worlds as spaces of growth, attentiveness, and self expression.
His inspiration comes from realist artists who worked מתוך depth, sensitivity, and humanity. In the Israeli art scene, he cites Eran Reshef and David Nipo as significant influences. Internationally, he feels a deep connection to the works of Vermeer, as well as to Baroque masters such as Caravaggio and Rembrandt. These influences are evident in his approach to composition, his handling of light, and his ability to create a quiet yet powerful presence.
His creative process often begins with photography. Moshe stages and photographs his subjects himself, seeking full control over the composition and striving to build images that are simple, authentic, and precise. Images that speak to him and resonate with the viewer. The paintings develop through traditional classical layering techniques, primarily using oil paints, drawn to the depth and transparency the medium allows. He is not in search of effects, but of depth, stillness, and authenticity.
Recently, Moshe presented a solo exhibition featuring works created over the course of an entire decade. The exhibition offered a comprehensive view of his artistic and technical evolution. He has also participated in additional group exhibitions.
Moshe’s goal in painting is to convey emotion, not necessarily a direct narrative, but a sensation, a moment of quiet contemplation. He wishes the viewer to feel, not merely to see. He believes that meaningful art touches precisely this place, the simple silence filled with depth.
